Removing the oil with either water (in the case of oil cleansers with an emulsifier) or a damp washcloth is a gentle process that can work for any skin tone, type, or texture. 

How Do You Use Oil Cleansers?

Applying a cleansing oil made without an emulsifier to wet skin creates an oil slick on your face without cleaning. However, using it to dry skin binds to the oils on your face and makes removal easier. 

Using a cleansing oil made with an emulsifier on wet skin emulsifies the product prematurely. But if applied to dry skin, the cleansing oil can bind to and lift the dirt, and the emulsifier helps water rinse it away.  

Here's How to Get the Best Results from Your Cleansing Oil:

1. Use all cleansing oils/oil cleansers on dry skin.
2. Gently massage the cleansing oil on dry skin to loosen the dirt and/or makeup.
3. Rinse with water or remove with a damp cloth.
4. Follow with a mild cleanser (If you started with makeup on your face)
